Happy Holidays

Thursday, December 8th, 2011

We have no snow yet, but the colder weather has definitely moved to central Illinois. The shorter days and chill make me want to hibernate through December, but I have the feeling my family would object…who would cook all the traditional holiday dishes if I’m burrowed under the covers? ;-)

I’m very pleased to announce that Scandalous Desires was named one of the best books of 2011 by Publishers Weekly and was chosen for RT Book Review‘s Seal of Excellence for November.

For a short time only my contemporary romance, For the Love of Pete is on sale in most ebookstores, including: Amazon, Nook, Sony, Kobo, Ebooks.com, Diesel, and Books on Board.

I hope you enjoy spending lots of time with your family this holiday season!

Website Updates and More

Friday, April 30th, 2010

It’s May already and my peonies are in bud. I do hope I can get to weeding before the violets take over the garden this year. What are we without hope? ;-)

I heard just today that two of my books finaled in The Readers Crown Contest: To Desire a Devil and my Julia Harper book, For the Love of Pete.

A few website updates:

  • I have a new Book of the Month pick up on the Extras page.
  • Wicked Intentions bookmarks are in! As always, they’re free so be sure and order some for yourself and for friends.
  • If you’re a public librarian in the USA, be sure to check out the list of books in translation I can send to your library. (Scroll down for instructions.)

Enjoy!

RITAs!

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

Every year I wait anxiously by the phone for RITA news…but this year I got not just one, but two calls. I’m pleased to announce that both To Beguile a Beast and my contemporary romance, For the Love of Pete (written as Julia Harper) have finaled in the Romance Writers of America‘s RITA contest!

Fairy Tales and Auctions

Friday, May 1st, 2009

Happy May Day! I was once fortunate enough to enjoy May Day in Oxford, England (I believe I grumbled when my mother pulled me out of bed early to see the Morris dancers–teenagers are never grateful.)

Unfortunately here in central Illinois it’s gray and damp today. Still too wet to weed (well, without making a muddy mess anyway) and rather chilly too. Brrr! Just as well that I need to stay inside and write.

Today I’m blogging at Grand Central Cafe about fairy tales and To Beguile a Beast.

Also today is the start of Brenda Novak’s Online Auction for Diabetes Research. This is a lovely chance for readers to buy autographed books–and arcs!–from their favorite authors and benefit a good cause too. Here are some of the items I’ve donated:

an autographed arc of To Desire a Devil

an autographed Princes trilogy

the first three books of The Legend of the Four Soldiers series

autographed copies of my Julia Harper books: Hot and For the Love of Pete
